Temptation.
Oh, what a regular bugaboo that can be. Sneaky, come up from behind weakness which attempts to draw a committed follower of Jesus Christ to dibble, dabble, or otherwise poke about in holes best left alone. Do you want to know why?
Temptation leads to sin and sin is what separates us in our relationship with God.
HOWEVER…
The cool thing is that God loves us so much that if we will get a grip over ourselves and the longings of our flesh (whatever they may be) He will provide a door, and if in our own rebelliousness we lock (or sometimes in my own case board up) the door…God provides a window.
I think our loving Father will provide a CAT FLAP if it will get us through a difficult period of temptation to help us overcome sin in our lives.
Seriously.
How do I know this?
The Bible tells me so (yes, yes, I know it's a child's song and very cliche…get over it!)
