Never Stop Praying For Your Spouse

If there is one thing I have learned over the past twenty-one years of marriage it's this…never stop praying. I know that my marriage…which went through five years of separation and near divorce…is whole and thriving today because of prayer.
When my husband first called me after three years of nearly no contact and wanted to reunite, it was his fervent prayers which God used to move my hardened heart.
After a separation of over a year and my husband was determined to move on without me, it was prayer (even though I was still far from God) which softened his heart with the possibility of giving things another try.
Even as my husband and I were trying to re-create our relationship and my husband realized I was still deeply involved with the occult, it was prayer which created the opportunities for God to open my eyes to the truth and rededicate my life to the Lord.
Never stop praying for your husband or wife.
Pray for your husband to be the man God has created him to be and to show you how to be the helper he needs. That he will seek God with all his heart and be a man of integrity in everything he does
.
Pray for your wife to learn what it means to be a woman of God. That she will be a woman of noble character, full of compassion and wisdom.
Wives pray that God will teach you how to respect your husband. If you have an unbelieving husband then pray for him to discover who God truly is and be a witness by the example of your life in Christ.
Husbands ask God to show you how to love your wives more than yourself.
Above all ask God to be the center of your relationship and to draw you close to Him as individuals and a couple. Pray together every day and commit your marriage to Him. Being married takes work, perseverance, compromise, friendship, covenant love…and prayer.

Amen, Kristine! Christian marriages need this reminder and challenge – nothing is impossible with our God!
This blog post is a GREAT reminder for all married couples. W/o prayer, w/o JESUS, marriages get brittle & fragment easily.
