I don't know about you but I am a fan of the television program LOST. I love watching the weekly adventures of Jack, Kate, Sawyer, John Locke, and friends on "the island". I tune in every week desiring to unravel the mysteries of "the Others", the Dharma Initiative. Wondering if any of my theories are correct and if any of the questions created by the pesky writers of LOST will ever be fully answered. Yes, indeed, I am a fan of LOST.
Apparently, so is pastor/author Chris Seay. His new book, The Gospel According to LOST, is easy and enjoyable to read while managing to be spiritually deep and thoughtful. Chris expertly takes the reader through an analysis of certain people who inhabit the world of LOST. Providing us with a fresh perspective on each characters individual background, motive, and how we can relate in our own lives to the struggles these oddly flawed but beloved people face on the island. Through it all Chris explores the meaning of faith and what it truly means to be "lost".
The Gospel According to LOST is probably going to appeal to a fairly narrow audience…those who happen to be fans of the show. However, I believe any reader could pick up this book, gain a basic understanding of the characters, and glean some spiritual gold nuggets along the way.
