Every person experiences pain in their life in some form or other.
Loss of a job.
Illness.
Death of a family member or friend.
Divorce
There are many situations we face in life which can be difficult to understand and certainly hard to walk through with faith.
In Finding Purpose Beyond Our Pain, Drs. Paul Meier and David Henderson share biblical…and practical…insight into how God can use those dark and difficult events to help us grow into a more mature Christian…and find contentment in God's presence…through any situation.
Paul Meier is a psychiatrist and founder of Meier Clinics in addition to being a best selling author. David Livingstone Henderson is a psychiatrist, author and adjunct professor of biblical counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary.
In an honest and biblical manner these two outstanding writers walk the reader through the reality of living in a fallen world where pain is a certainty; leading us to the One who can bring meaning and purpose in spite of it.
You may be experiencing a difficult time in your life right now, know someone who is, or simply want to be equipped to deal with pain when it comes. Whatever your situation, I highly recommend picking up a copy of this book and gleaning every drop of truth you can.
